Pasfield Park Men’s Club

2024 Mini Tour Information

Green Fees:   Each participant will be responsible for their own green fees at each course. To facilitate a quicker check in, and to secure a better rate, we will be paying in a lump sum at all courses. The total due, for each course, can be found on the schedule and on the signup sheet for each event. You may give your fees to Rich at anytime prior to the round. If you pay in advance of the day of an event, and cannot play, your money will be returned to you.

Game Fee:  At each event, a $7.00 game fee will be collected from each player.  Of that, $3 will go toward the team prize fund, $1 toward the skins game, $1 toward individual flight standings, $1 for the longest putt and closest-to pin games and $1 toward the prize fund for the end-of-year championship event to be held at HIcokry Point golf course.

Format of Play: There will be a team game played at each event.  Except for a scheduled 4- person scramble/shamble, each game allows for a player to play their own ball for the entire round (thus establishing a handicap) while at the same time contributing to their team score.

Handicaps; Handicaps will be based on mini-tour scores only.

Payout:  Longest Putt, Closest to the Pin and Scramble/Shamble prizes will be paid immediately following the round. (If you are not present at the end of the round, and have won one of these games, your winnings will be given to you at the next event that you attend)

Tees: All play will be from the standard men’s tees and the sets of tees that are the next closest to, and the next further away from, the green. Depending on course yardage, players will be given the option to decide which tees they wish to play. Tees will be assigned for the scramble/shamble formats. Tee selection must be done in advance, of the round. Each player’s/team’s handicap will be adjusted accordingly. Once you decide on, or are assigned, a set of tees to play, you will be committed to playing those tees for the entire round.

Pairings: Pairings/Teams will be announced at the end of the round – as determined by a blind draw. Team pairings for the scramble/shamble events will be based on handicap.

Tee Times: Players must be present, at the course, at least 20 minutes before the first tee time.

We have requested tee times for a set number of players (24) for each event. If you plan to play in an event, please make sure you have signed up by the Saturday of the week before the event. In the event that we have more than 24 players signed up to play, we will contact the course to try to increase the number of tee times to facilitate the extra players.

In the event that we cannot increase the number of tee times, we will determine the event’s participants using the following criteria:

1) Current PPMC members will have preference for the available tee times.

2) We will contact the last people who signed up, to play in the event, to let them know that they cannot play.

If you have signed up to play in an event, but find that you cannot play, please let Rich Jordan know as soon as possible AND before the day of the event at submit@ppmcgolf.com or 217-529-8949

If you are scheduled to play in an event and No-Show, for that event, it will be handled in the following manner:

1st No-Show: You will be moved to the last tee time for the next event that you play.

2nd No-Show: You will be moved to the bottom of the list for the next event in which you sign up to participate. If tee times are not available, you will not be able to play in the event.

3rd No-Show: You will be placed at the bottom of the list for all remaining events. If tee times are not available, for a specific event, you will not be able to play in that event.

If you have any questions regarding any of these rules, please contact Rich. PPMC Mini Tour Rules

PPMC Mini Tour Rules

We're here to have fun but we must also follow the rules of golf.

Count all of your strokes and maintain pace of play.

You may 'fluff' your ball 6 inches in any direction to find a favorable lie or a spot where there is grass.

You can clean your ball and/or substitute for a different ball at any time.

If you know that your tee shot is out of bounds, add 1 stroke and play another tee shot. If you are not sure if it went out of bounds, play a provisional tee shot. If you find your first tee shot, you must play it without penalty. If your ball is out of bounds anywhere else on the course, add 1 stroke and drop two club lengths from where your ball crossed the OB line.

If you have an unplayable lie, add 1 stroke and drop two club lengths from the unplayable condition.

The following rule exceptions are allowed:

1.      You are not required to hit out of a sand trap but you may if you wish. If you choose not to play out of the sand, drop your ball behind the trap and hit over the sand. If you ball goes into the sand again, drop on the side of the trap - no closer to the hole.

2.      If you are hitting your ball over a body of water and your ball goes into the water, add 1 stroke and attempt to hit over the water again. If you hit a second ball into the water, count the stroke and drop on the other side of the water. You do not have to add another penalty stroke. Players who are playing the red tees: you do not have to make a second attempt to hit over the water. Add 1 stroke and drop on the other side.

3.      If your ball is lying next to a tree or a root, you may move it one club length with no penalty. If your ball is under a tree, you must still play from under the tree or take an unplayable and add 1 stroke.

4.      If your ball comes to rest closer than 12 inches from the hole, you may pick up and go to the next hole. Make sure to count the pickup as a stroke. Please keep it fair and limit a pickup to less than 12 inches - no longer. 12 inches is the approximate length of a regular sized grip. Basically, if you can put your foot between your ball and the hole - you must putt.

Please play ready golf. Don't play honors on the tee unless the group in front of you is far enough ahead of you that no one can reach them with their tee shot.  Anywhere on the course - If you can't reach the players in front of you - play your shot.

If you are not a PPMC member, you will be charged a $5 participation fee.

The fee is to help supplement the cost of the league manager software and the ppmcgolf.com domain and hosting.

You may pay the fee upfront or I will add an extra $1 fee to each event you play until you reach the $5 amount.

Please remember that we are here to have fun.

Please follow the rules and be courteous to the other players.

Thanks for playing and remember, "Let's have fun out there."
